The Streatham Society is conducting the twice-yearly one-hour guided tours of the historic gardens on the Park Hill estate, now called Henry Tate Mews. You are invited to join these tours, on Sunday 5 May 2013, at 2pm and 3pm.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the historical importance of the estate (formerly known as Park Hill House) from very knowledgeable and enthusiastic local historians. Visitors only view the exterior of the house Henry Tate lived in but will see the many Grade II listed structures within the historic gardens which include the famous Pulhamite Grotto and Folly.
If you wish to take part, join one of the parties at the gate shortly before that time.
Please note that neither Streatham Society nor Tate Gardens Management Ltd take any responsibility for the safety of individuals and their property on this tour. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Visitors are requested to respect the privacy of the residents of the estate.
The Gardens are situated on Streatham Common North near the junction with Leigham Court Road.
